A Message from Moshe Feiglin

Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

I am writing to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We are still too close to the momentous events of the last few days to fully analyze them. But we already know that something extraordinary happened on Election Night.

They are trying so hard to prevent the Jews from taking their fate into their own hands. They are so afraid that we will emerge from our Religious Zionist or settler shtetls. But suddenly, the Jewish majority has burst onto the scene. "We'll stop them with this trick or that shtick," they proclaim. Feiglin - maligned on this TV station and demonized on that - has nevertheless opened the Likud to the entire Jewish majority, which can now enter the arena and take its fate into its own hands.

Something big is happening here - something historic. The wholesale panic of the leftist, secular elite is proof of that. The current leaders of the Likud are ideologically unequipped to deal with the mudslinging. They quake in fear. That is understandable and we don't have to feel anger towards them. They wallow in the mud that the Left hurls at them, obsequiously denying that they have anything to do with Feiglin. "We are against Feiglin!" they quiver. "He is not the Likud!" they quake.

The people, though, do not seem to agree. Today's Ha'aretz newspaper declares: Despite Netanyahu's Fears, Latest Poll Shows Likud Gaining Strength. Just think how many Knesset seats the Likud would get if its leader would not work against me!

In short, dear friends, I want you to know that I love and appreciate you. I know how hard you worked to achieve this wonderful success. But this is just the beginning. We have broken through the iron curtain that has separated the state from the Jewish majority. We have opened the way for the Jewish majority to return en masse to the ruling party and to make sure that Israel's leaders will remain loyal to the values of the people who elected them.

It is very simple. Those who register for the Likud save the Land of Israel, the Nation of Israel and - yes - the Torah of Israel. We need the self sacrifice that you displayed on Election Day on a daily basis!

A Message To You, Bibi

Bibi:
I wanted to have a little chat so pull up a chair for a bit. You know, I couldn't help but think of you as I watched the live feed from the Tel Aviv convention center over the Internet following the Likud primaries last night. I just couldn't help but notice how you approached the podium with a look of consternation on your face. I also couldn't help but notice the uncomfortable body language and that as you stared at the podium of the Likud roster you had to be thinking, "Hey, these are not my guys. Where's my left/center guys like Assaf, Uzi, Yechiel, Tal in the top 20? Oh, at least Meridor showed up at 17." But look at those hardliners in the top positions. And Oy, Feiglin, FEIGLIN!!!"

Poor Bibi, but at the risk of showing my age, I just couldn't get the lyrics to the 80's song by The Specials, "A Message To You Rudy" out of my head at that point. To wit:

Stop your messing around

Better think of your future

Time you straightened right out

Creating problems in town

Rudy, a message to you

Now just replace Rudy with Bibi and, well, you get the idea.

Bibi, your slanderous attacks on Moshe Feiglin, aided and abetted by most of the media was something to behold. Yet, despite all of it, Feiglin emerged along with many of the more rightist candidates that he recommended in key top positions on the slate for the next Knesset. You must have loved how the media dubbed it "Feiglin's Likud".

Your moves against Feiglin in the last days before the primaries reeked of panic and the fear/resentment that you have for a man with true leadership qualities and a true sense of Jewish identity and Jewish destiny, something you will never come to. Witness your attempts to change the election rules at the last minute with new voting requirements (which cost Shmuel Sackett the "olim" vote despite having well over 10,000 votes) or the continued extending of the voting deadlines. And let's not forget personally calling and forbidding Likud members from attending any Feiglin or Manhigut-related functions as well as informing them whom to vote for or else. And all this, despite your closest handlers telling you to either stop attacking Feiglin and raising his profile, or to finally embrace the man who has had his hand out to you for over a year.

What you saw last night, Bibi, was the return of the Likud to it's right/nationalist roots and no doubt that terrifies a man who as I have said, does not possess an ounce of Likud DNA in his body. You are hellbent on turning the Likud into another Kadima clone because you have this warped notion that you must play to the so-called non-existent "Israeli center" as you believe that was where Sharon and Olmert were successful. Unfortunately, Sharon was successful because he hijacked the ruling Likud government to form Kadima in order to carry out the disengagement from Gush Katif that the Likud had voted down. Olmert was Sharon's hand-picked poodle and only won because the electorate was so disgusted at the choices it had, that more than 40% stayed home and did not vote. That won't be the case this time as the natural tendencies of Israel is to the right despite the fact that it is ruled by a leftist ruling elite minority. Only a strong right-wing/nationalist Likud with dedicated incorruptible people like Feiglin can even begin to try and break the stranglehold of that minority and prevent you from playing to the the bastions of the left aka the media and the Supreme court and carrying out the national suicidal tendencies that you and the current pathetic collection of thugs have promulgated.

No, Bibi, the ticket you see is not because of you. It is in spite of you. Except for Meridor, all your bogus Likud choices like Leiter and Hafetz and Dayan and Brody were pushed into irrelevancy. Yet, I see you have another dirty trick up your sleeve aimed at Feiglin and the top rightists as your own poodle, Ofir Ekunis, who finished in slot 28 will bring a bogus law suit to the Likud court in order to push himself and your other lapdogs into a higher slot at Feiglin's expense. Don't worry Bibi you will fail and ultimately, rather than being known as one of the great leaders of Israel that you could have been, you will be consigned to the dustbin of irrelevancy, which for someone with your ego, is a fate worse than death. Or as a closing thought, to paraphrase the words of The Specials:

Stop your fooling around

Time you straightened right out

Better think of your future

Else you'll wind up in jail

Bibi, A message to you.

What will it be Bibi? The nation waits while rolling its collective eyes. We'll talk again, I'm sure.

Victory For Feiglin, Manhigut Yehudit, Likud and Israel

Officials at Manhigut Yehudit are very proud to announce that the president of our organization, Moshe Feiglin, last night won the 20th position on the Likud's Knesset list. This success, almost certainly, G-d willing, will translate into Moshe becoming a Knesset Member of the State of Israel at Israel's upcoming general election on February 10, 2009.

Thousands of Likud voters made the choice to elect Moshe Feiglin in order to finally have a real alternative to the deadly "Peace" Process, and to have a candidate who represents the restoration of Jewish values in Israel.

The Kadima party announced that the Likud is now a party of extremists. Kadima, however, did not explain that with Feiglin in a prominent position in the soon-to-be ruling Likud party, Israel can finally have a government proud of its Jewish heritage - one which will cling to its Creator and to its precious Land of Israel.

It is widely believed that Likud will acquire a large plurality of seats in the next Knesset (as polls show the Likud winning between 30-37 seats) leaving behind the real extremists of Kadima who release terrorists for "good will", who support further evictions of Jews from their homes, and who allow Arab rockets to fall throughout Israel without repercussion.

Manhigut Yehudit candidates Sagiv Assoulin and Boaz Ha'etzni won spots 35 and 36 respectively on the Likud's Knesset list. As a sign of the strength of Manhigut Yehudit and the return to good health of the Likud party, 15 additional Manhigut-endorsed candidates also won spots on the Likud's list.

New York-born Likud contender promises to promote aliya and fight a two-state solution

New-York born Shmuel Sackett, who was convicted of sedition for blocking roads during demonstrations against the Oslo Accords, hopes to run for Knesset with the Likud, and is contending for one of the slots reserved for immigrants in the party's primary Monday.

Sackett, 47, a supporter of far-right Likud Knesset hopeful Moshe Feiglin, has been publishing his cell phone number in ads in The Jerusalem Post and other media outlets, promising to make himself personally available to residents if he is elected.

He said that if he makes it into the Knesset, he will work to bring all Jews waiting to make aliya to Israel. He also rejects the idea of a Palestinian state alongside Israel, saying this is the state of the Jewish people only.

"I am for settling any place we can in the State of Israel and building more settlements and more homes," he said. "My solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a strong Jewish state and a strong army that doesn't allow the terror to raise its head.

"Once you are weak, terror raises its head, but when you are strong and proud and you show them [the Palestinians] that you won't give away one centimeter, then the problems with the Arabs will be resolved," he said.

Both Sackett and Feiglin were given prison sentences for their anti-Oslo activity but they were later converted into community service. Sackett says he is still proud of what he had done.

Sackett, who made aliya 18 years ago with his wife and his four oldest children (two more were born here) says he feels more comfortable aiming for an "immigrant slot," slots 21 or 30, although his chances of defeating other candidates for those slots are considered slight.

Sackett and Feiglin established the Zo Artzeinu movement in December 1993, with the aim of blocking Israeli land concessions to the Arabs via civil disobedience.

Sackett says that as a representative of the movement, he has spoken in some 500 Jewish communities in North America about aliya and its challenges.

"I have been a wonderful ambassador for Israel and the Likud," he said.

Sackett studied and worked in marketing in New York. When he and his family moved to Israel they moved first to Karnei Shomron and then to Ra'anana; now they live in Herzliya Pituah.

Sackett said he is not concerned about Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu's efforts to keep Feiglin and his supporters out of realistic slots.

"I am motivated by Netanyahu's efforts," Sackett said. "He is afraid because he sees how strong we are. We don't appeal to the leaders of Likud but rather to Likud members who vote and who want a strong country with a strong Jewish identity and a strong IDF like we had in the past."

Though he has only praise for the work of Nefesh B'Nefesh, which has brought thousands of North American Jews to Israel, he believes a lot more can be done.

"There is a waiting list of 3,000 Jews who want to make aliya and are standing in line. I can understand a waiting list for a Paul McCartney concert but a waiting list for aliya? That doesn't make sense. The problem is that Nefesh B'Nefesh's resources are limited," he said.

Other issues he promises to tackle if elected are poverty and relations between the haredi and secular populations.

Why I'll be Voting for Feiglin

Following the brutal expulsion of Jewish families from Beit HaShalom in Hebron, former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu proclaimed, "We must act with an iron fist against the outlaws." http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3632769,00.html Of course, this was stated before he spoke with anyone in Hebron to clarify the facts and establish what really happened.

It is quite clear: should Netanyahu be again elected Prime Minister with a parve Likud list, he will continue in the footsteps of one of his predecessors, namely one Bibi Netanyahu, who signed away 80% of Hebron to Arafat terrorists, and continued by agreeing to the infamous Wye Accords.

Today's menu includes Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and just about all of Yehuda and Shomron. Without any strong brakes to stop him, Netanyahu is liable to form a coalition with Ehud Barak as his Defense Minster and Tzippy Livni as his Foreign Minister. This threesome will undoubtedly get along quite well with Obama, Clinton and Co. The only way to prevent this catastrophe is push the Likud from center-left as far right as possible. And the only way to do that today is to vote for Moshe Feiglin and the entire Manhigut Yehudit list.

Moshe Feiglin represents the paradigm Jewish leader: a man of faith and conviction, with a proven track record. The other candidates on the Manhigut Yehudit Likud Knesset list are of the same caliber, made of the same material. Shmuel Sackett, co-founder of this pair's first venture into public activism, Zu Artzenu, will be a tremendous boost to a floundering, faithless Knesset. These two men, together with others on the list, will be a true Kiddush HaShem, bringing to Israeli leadership what has long been so lacking: a belief and understanding of the 'holy triangle' of Am Yisrael - the Jewish people, Eretz Yisrael - the Land of Israel, and Torah. Their official entrance into formal leadership of the Jewish people will finally put an end to calls for the replacement of the State of Israel by an alternative "Medinat Yehuda." They will be living proof that it is possible to utilize the existing framework of the State of Israel within the boundaries of Kedusha - holiness, thereby bringing about a major 'tikkun' - rectification of the current failings of leaderless leadership.

Tomorrow I'm going to proudly cast my vote for Moshe, Shmuel and ten others, who, when elected to the Knesset, will represent the values and priorities we believe in, and actively work to bring our dreams to reality.

JPost is Correct: Feiglin will Not Surrender the Land of Israel

The Jerusalem Post editorial of December 3rd accurately states that Moshe Feiglin will not continue the [suicidal] Land for Peace process that has affected each and every Jewish citizen of Israel.

As a consequence of the policies of the current and previous Israeli governments, virtually every citizen of Israel personally knows and cries for Jewish victims who were murdered by Muslim terrorists and for others who have been maimed for life. More than 12,000 Jews have been murdered or maimed by the process which has at various times been called “The Oslo Accords”, “Land for Peace”, “Reciprocity”, “The Road Map”, “Disengagement”, “Annapolis”, and “Convergence”. Since the Arab enemy has no rights to the Land of Israel, whether legal, moral or historical, these titles are only Orwellian euphemisms which convey one message to the Arabs and that is: terror pays, and it pays good.

In response to seeing Bibi Netanyahu unleashing his entire arsenal of dirty tricks against Moshe Feiglin to try to keep Moshe and his affiliated candidates off the Likud’s Knesset list this coming Monday, those in the non-Likud nationalist camp may very well be saying "I told you so" right now to Feiglin. However, the nationalist camp has not been on the front lines in trying to present a leader to become the Prime Minister of Israel. The only thing that this “right” has accomplished since the Oslo Accords were signed is to negotiate better terms of surrender – they have not tried to achieve victory.

So why is Netanyahu so afraid of Feiglin? What does the Likud charter say and who really represents it? The Likud Charter actually calls for Israel to annex and settle all parts of the Land of Israel, and for Israel to be run in accordance with Jewish Values. Netanyahu’s personal platform does not include these planks. Voters must question Bibi as to why his platform opposes his own party’s Charter, and why he is so desperately trying to bring unapologetic leftists into the Likud and keep out those who support the Charter – namely Moshe Feiglin and his affiliated candidates.

It seems that Netanyahu’s goal is to ingratiate himself with the forces of the extreme left which control Israel’s media, governmental bureaucracy and its “justice” system. Feiglin's platform is one that represents Jewish values, Jewish education, family values, building up and not tearing down the Land of Israel, no concessions to our enemies, and no negotiating of Jewish Land. Moshe Feiglin stands in the way of Netanyahu connecting with these forces of the left.

Moshe Feiglin believes that the average Likud rank-and-file voter believes similarly to the Likud charter. Feiglin sees that these Likudniks have had enough of “Land for Peace”, which has only brought death and destruction to Israel, and that they are yearning for a leader who will cling to their heritage and not run away from it. Feiglin believes that these Likudniks will see through the dirty tricks and put Moshe Feiglin onto the Likud's Knesset list on Monday in a spot from where he will be elected to the Knesset on February 10th.

Bibi Netanyahu is afraid that Moshe Feiglin’s message of Jewish pride and hope – which is in line with the Likud’s own Charter - is becoming more and more mainstream and accepted by Likudniks and Israeli society in general.

Moshe Feiglin has outstretched his hand to Bibi Netanyahu in the hope that the Likud can and will represent what is best for the people of Israel. Unfortunately for us all, Netanyahu has so far refused to outstretch his hand back.

Who's Afraid Of Feiglin?

"Why is he (Bibi) so afraid of you?" the reporters constantly ask me. The answer is very simple. We are already used to the Likud winning the elections with a clear mandate from the nation to change the way this country is being run, only to see it implement the most radical of leftist policies. Everybody already knows that when you vote Left, you get Left, and that when you vote Right, you get double Left.

My candidacy, and the candidacy of my affiliates, threatens to undo that pattern. The head of the Likud is under tremendous pressure from the Left. He has channeled that pressure to me and my associates. Not only am I facing over 150 other Likud candidates - I am also facing an ugly campaign orchestrated by the head of the Likud; a combination of patently illegal actions that include interfering with the Likud voting bylaws, attempts to underhandedly change the framework in which all the candidates are running and other instances of total disregard for proper elections conduct. We are trying to deal with every curve ball thrown our way, while we pray that G-d will give us the strength to overcome all the ill-will and false accusations so that we can do our best for our Nation, Torah and Land.

It is important to remember that our struggle is not only for places in the Knesset. We are much more than just a few more loyal votes in Israel's parliament. We have taken upon ourselves to bring faith based leadership to the State of Israel. The force of the attacks against us is ample testimony to the fact that some people feel very uneasy about our goal.

There has been some serious opposition to some of our choices of candidates or to the very fact that we will publicize a list of recommended candidates. But just think for a moment. How would the forces opposing us prefer that you vote? As individuals or as a bloc?

With G-d's help, we will succeed. The choice of how you vote, though, is in your hands.

May we merit to perfect the world in the kingdom of the Almighty.

The Voice And The Hands: The Case For Jewish Leadership

I am not one to usually write a political commentary inspired by the weekly parasha but for better or worse, the events in this week's Torah reading along with the tragedy in Mumbai fairly screams off both the holy and secular pages that we will all be reading. Perhaps one of the most famous statements in the Torah occurs when Yaakov, disguising himself as his hirsute brother Esav in order to rightfully claim the blessing of Avraham from his now blind father Isaac, elicits this puzzled response, "the voice is the voice of Yaakov but the hands are the hands of Esav". It is that statement that has defined the failure of the Israel both as a nation and as a people to establish themselves as leaders of Gd's kingdom on earth. The master plan as envisioned by Yitzchak was to have Esav working (the hands) to support Yaakov's Torah learning (the voice). Either one by itself would not be enough. But Esav, despite having the seeds of greatness in him (witness his primal reaction to loss of the blessing for he knows that Gd will not allow him to succeed without his righteous father's prayer to Gd on his behalf), perverts the mission of his hands and rather than working to help Yaakov establish Gd's nation, he becomes a hunter, a thief, a murderer who gladly sells his birthright to his twin brother.

It is difficult to look in the mirror after the tragedy in Mumbai and know that we all bear responsibility for this tragedy. And when I say "we" I mean all of Klal Yisrael, for is it not axiomatic that "kol yisrael areivim zeh et zeh"? Yet you ask, what could we have done? How could we have prevented this? We were not the terrorist savages that pulled the triggers. Perhaps not. But, we still enabled them. How? By not having the hands and the voice working in unison.

It is only the voice and the hands together and in balance that can bring greatness and peace to Israel. Either one by itself is not enough. We see glimpses of it through history and indeed, where the roles interchange. Witness Esav's voice through his filial devotion that was able to deceive Yitzchak and Yaakov's disguised hands that turned the tables. Or Yaakov using his hands to defeat Esav's guardian angel and forcing the angel to bless Yakkov with his voice. Moshe using hands and voice to help the Jews defeat Amalek in their first battle (which will be the prototype for the last). The Kohanim in the Temple, using hands and voice to bless the Jewish nation. And finally, King David, our greatest warrior and a Torah scholar, from whom Moshiach will come forth, finding the site of the Beit Hamikdash. And conversely, we see how in two thousand years of exile, the voice grew great with Torah pouring out of the galut. Yet, it was not enough as we were exiled, chased, tortured and murdered by the nations; by Esav and his cohorts. And then 60 years ago, we finally return to the land and we find our hands again but then the balance shifts in the wrong direction as the hands dominate the state of Israel and dominate the leadership in a corrupt path while the voice is content to have money for its yeshivas and social programs and forget about leadership and the nation as a whole.

This is where we find ourselves now. Israel is reeling aimlessly with criminals in charge of its leadership. Criminals, hunters and yes even murderers whose pathetic, obsequious policies towards the Arabs and the terrorists they breed have encouraged the murder of thousands of Jews including Rav Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, perverting the use of their hands in ways that would make Esav proud. And the Torah voices? Also perverted, propping up these miserable governments in exchange for money. Look in the mirror. We are all responsible for allowing this travesty in Mumbai like the travesty of Gush Katif, Sderot, Hebron, and others. After all, we started this destructive path by rescuing and then dressing up the murderer Arafat as a statesmen and allowing him and his terrorist thugs into Israel proper. All this because of the hands that are out of control with the proper voice nowhere to be found.

Next Monday is the Likud primary and Likud voters will have a chance to begin correcting this imbalance. The polls show that the Likud will be the next ruling party in Israel, yet anyone expecting a change because of Bibi will be severely disappointed. It will only happen if the Likud voters choose a voice to balance Bibi's hands. A voice the will restore the balance between voice and hands by keeping the Likud on the right nationalist path that it needs to take. A voice that stands for true Jewish Leadership in Israel. Faith-based leadership that will unite the voice and hands of the secular and the observant to begin to make a proud Jewish state. So I say to you Likudniks, there are five Jewish Leadership candidates on your voting slate next Monday. When you use your hands to choose, choose those that will unite your hands with the right voice for all our sakes.
