By Moshe Feiglin
As long as in soldiers – not police – are guarding Judea and Samaria, we will continue to humiliate our soldiers in episodes such as David from the Nachal Brigade that has caused an uproar in Israel.
The police officer is the representative of the sovereign, while the soldier is the representative of the occupier. Israel must end the occupation and annex Judea and Samaria – all of it. Arabs who would like to remain in their homes must be willing to accept the sovereignty of the State of Israel. They will receive permanent residency status and all human rights. Those who are not willing to accept Israeli sovereignty will receive a generous emigration package – and will leave.
Those who choose violence against Israel will be dealt with by the military. But we will not have our soldiers filling the role of police. (Pictured: Moshe Feiglin holding a sign that says: End the Occupation: Police officer instead of soldier)
