The Shamrak Report: Bloated Government - Will it Last?

(jpost - good article, but weak conclusion!)
After more than 500 days of transitional government and after the swearing-in ceremony was pushed off from Thursday, Netanyahu-Gantz emergency unity government was inaugurated at the Knesset.
As of Saturday evening, lawmakers dissatisfied with their ministerial appointments, or lack thereof, continued to cause delays in the swearing-in of Israel s new government.
On Sunday, the 35th government of the State of Israel was sworn in at the Knesset. More than 30 ministers and around 16 deputy ministers are supposed to pledge allegiance to the country. One of them is a newly-invented ministry and will hold the title of Communal Strengthening and Development Minister. What is that? Your guess is as good as ours...
This new government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is one of the biggest in Israeli history. Beyond its size though, what it also does is chip away at the Knesset, Israel s parliament. More than a third of the members of Knesset will serve as ministers or deputy ministers. This blurs the lines between the executive and the legislative branches of government...
There is a reason why democracies hold by a system that ensures separation of powers. It enables one branch of government to ensure that the other stays in its lane and remembers that someone is out there keeping track and following. No one branch can abuse its power...
For Israel s sake, we need a strong and robust parliament, one that can ensure transparency, accountability... (Israel is able to end occupation of the Jewish land by its enemies regardless of the opinion of the international Anti-Semites!)
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
International anti-Semites know but deliberately ignore and twist application of international law, when Israel is concerned! Unfortunately, even most Jews do not know that Judea, Samaria, Gaza and even trans-Jordan legally belong to Eretz-Israel, the Land of Israel, in accordance to international laws! Since its establishment, Israel's political leadership has been concerned about and pressured by our anti-Semitic enemies and fake friends. Let hope it will change soon!

King Abdullah of Jordan threatened on Friday that Israel s plans to annex parts of the West Bank could lead to a massive clash with his kingdom and did not rule out Amman s withdrawal from the peace accord with the Jewish state. Jordan is one of the only two Arab states to have signed peace with Israel. Last month, Mahmoud Abbas was planning to dissolve the Palestinian Authority if Israel annexed an inch of the West Bank.
Chareidi Jews help turn tragedy into treasure, comprising half of all US plasma donors. More than 12,000 Chareidi plasma donors have signed up to save the lives of their fellow Americans! Nearly all of them are living in the Brooklyn Jewish neighbourhoods of Crown Heights, Borough Park and Williamsburg.
PA launches new campaign following the murder of an IDF soldier, calls for the use of rocks to attack Israelis. The incitement campaign calls for Palestinian Arabs to imitate the terrorists from the village of Ya bad who murdered Ben Yigal and attack Israelis with rocks or blocks. "If a weapon is missing, rocks can be used," the campaign says. (Shoot to kill Arab stone throwers should be the IDF's standing order!)
Researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev have developed a one-minute coronavirus test. The test works by collecting particles from a simple breath test or throat/nose swaps. The test has a 90 percent success rate compared to Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests. Each test kit would cost between $50 and $100 to produce, which is far less than current laboratory tests based on amplifying and identifying viral RNA sequences.
The US Senate passed the Never Again Education Act, which seeks to expand Holocaust education in the United States, by unanimous consent. Ultimately, no changes were made to the bill! The legislation goes to US President Donald Trump for his expected signature into law. Antisemitism is on the rise in the United States and across the globe. We must act to reverse this dangerous course. The best way to prevent an atrocity like the Holocaust from occurring again is through education..." - said Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.)
Senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Saeb Erekat said that the Israeli plan to apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria makes achieving peace impossible. "Annexation means one thing: peace will not be possible between Israelis and Palestinians and cannot be done between Israel and the Arab countries." ( What else is newThey have never been interested in peace with Israel!)
Israel will transfer as much as NIS 800 million ($228 million) to the Palestinian Authority (PA) to cover projected losses over the coronavirus pandemic. According to Palestinian Finance Minister Shukri Bishara, Ramallah s economy would collapse if the monthly tax revenues on imports and exports fall. ( The PA does not pay for water, electricity or compensation to victims of terror. Israel has just raised 5B in government bonds, why can t they borrow from Muslim states?)
Under cover of coronavirus crisis, Palestinian Authority destroys a Hasmonean fortress in Samaria, damaging Jewish antiquities in the process! The Tel Aruma fortress is the northernmost of the eight fortresses established by the Hasmonean Kingdom to protect its eastern border. (As usual, the government of Israel has done nothing to protect Jewish history from enemy's barbarism!)
IDF soldier, 1st Sergeant Amit Ben-Yigal, 21, from Ramat Gan, was killed on Tuesday morning by an Arab terrorist in the village Yabed, which is located near Jenin. Amit Ben-Yigal, Sargent of Golani reconnaissance unit, was participating in an operation to capture terrorists in the town when a large rock was dropped on his head from a roof above. (A stone-throwing terrorist was shot and killed a day later!)
Just 15% of those living in Jerusalem's Arab neighbourhoods prefer being Israeli citizens to being residents of the Palestinian Authority. Several years ago, a similar survey showed that 52% of Arabs living in those areas preferred Israeli citizenship.
Quote of the Week:
I am not able to sit (in government) with Netanyahu. Friends, I am facing reality - I am telling you, we are speaking about a corrupt man who is destroying the country, and I cannot sit with him... Bibi is not a king and not the messiah and it s possible to go on without him. He has done his work. He served his party. He served his country. He served himself. Okay, let s move on& Benny Gantz, leader of Blue and White party, told The Times of Israel in an interview just over a year ago - When the words mean nothing and self-serving political prostitution is everything ! Both of them have to step down and let true Zionists lead the country!

May 15 is the day of May the Arabs mourn the 'catastrophe' of Israel's establishment.
Conveniently missing from the distorted Palestinian Arab narrative is the massive evacuation of wealthy Arabs way before May 15, followed by the widespread voluntary flight of Arabs who were advised by Arab leaders to leave their homes temporarily so as to not get in the way of the massacre of the Jews. (In 1948, the Arab refugees were encouraged/ordered to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews. Most of them left in fear of being killed by their own Arab brothers as traitors.)
The real Nakba: the Nakba of the Jews of Arab lands. The declaration of Israel s Independence was universally accompanied by the mass persecution of the Jews in Arab lands.
Most egregious was the expulsion of the Jews of Iraq, the oldest Jewish community in the world outside of the Land of Israel. Iraqi Jews suffered a barbaric pogrom known as the Farhud during Shavuot 1941, in which 180 Jews were murdered in Bagdad. Within a matter of weeks, some 150,000 were deported.
In all some 850,000 other Jews were forced or expelled or fled from their homes in Syria, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon and other Arab and Muslim countries around the time of the founding of the State of Israel and afterwards. ( Estimated number of Arabs who left Israel before and during the Independence war was around 460,000. As soon as the UN recognised them as refugees and began aid program their number has swollen to 630,000. For 72 years these fake refugees have been deliberately fostered by international anti-Semites in order to discredit the legitimacy of Israel!)
