Three months have passed since the establishment of the unity government, and tensions within the coalition are at their peak. If no compromise is reached between the Likud and Blue and White on the budget by this coming Monday, the State of Israel will head for another round of elections... the general public is disappointed with its leadership as an overwhelming majority of 75% are dissatisfied with Prime Minister Netanyahu's handling of his government's affairs.
Likud still in the lead
The political map remains mostly unchanged, with the Netanyahu-led Likud maintaining a significant gap over the rest of the field and the right-wing bloc continuing to lead with 63 seats. The possibility of Netanyahu joining forces with Yamina led by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked remains a possibility.
The breakdown
The Likud would claim 32 seats if election were to be held today. Yesh Atid - Telem party, led by Yair Lapid and Moshe Ya'alon would come in second with 19. Yamina continues its upward trend, getting 15 seats. The Joint Arab List is down one seat from its current total, receiving 15. Blue White has just 10, while Shas, United Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beytenu would all end up with 8. Meretz comes in last with just 5 seats. Labor is one of a number of smaller parties to fall short of the voting threshold.
Right vs. Left
The right-wing bloc would capture 63 seats, while the Left-Arab bloc would end up with 49. Lieberman, who remains at 8 seats, would not be able to influence the makeup of a future coalition government. (After 'sitting on the fence' for too long Israeli voters had enough of Lieberman s selfish political game!)

Hundreds of books and thousands of articles have been written, exhaustively describing the facts about the mistreatment of Jews by European anti-Semites before and during WW2, as well as, Arabs/Muslims attacks and endless terror against the Jewish state! It is time to start looking for a viable solution! I suggest the way, and it does not require an agreement from Israel s enemies or fake friends, if it planed and implemented properly - The Sinai Option!
Israel s Ambassador to the UN Erdan said Unless there is a significant change in UNIFIL s powers including the authority to enter private homes to ensure that rockets and missiles are not deployed there, Israel will support the American veto that will in effect dissolve the UNIFIL force. ( The UN peacekeepers are useless, at best! Often, they are co-operating with Hezbollah terrorists.)
Turkish President Recep Erdogan received Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Istanbul on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the end of a week in which 15 Palestinian rockets and hundreds of dangerous balloons were launched into Israel from the Gaza Strip. Also present were Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan and Hanyeh s deputy Saleh al-Arour, who has a $5 million US government bounty on his head. After the Turkish president vowed to liberate Jerusalem from its invaders, Israel s defense authorities elevated his country to a place not far from Iran s in its national security plans. (Turkey is still a member of NATO, and a recipient of US aid! Anti-Semites do not complain about that!)
in 2019, the EU authorized seven grants allocating some 11.8 million euros for projects in Jerusalem for implementation by NGOs, some of which were specifically geared towards the European Union s urgent need to preserve the Palestinian identity of East Jerusalem doctrine! The EU further defined Palestinian culture and heritage in East Jerusalem are protected as a strategic objective. ("Objective" is to annihilate the Jewish state? And the government of Israel is still doing nothing to stop it!)
The IDF's new 'Lahav Or' laser system located and intercepted 32 incendiary and explosive balloons which were launched from the Gaza Strip at Israel on Friday, with a success rate of over 90%. This is the first system of its kind in the world! (Well done! It would not be needed if the enemies were removed from Jewish land!)
Hamas threatened Israel after it was reported that the Israeli government was debating whether to resume targeted assassinations of Hamas leaders. They will burn Tel Aviv with thousands of missiles, a Lebanese paper reported. Dozens of arson and explosive balloons have been launched from Gaza on a daily basis for over a week, causing hundreds of fires in Israel s south. Hamas then upped the ante by firing a rocket that set off the Code Red sirens in Ashkelon and surrounding villages! On Thursday night, three rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza, and that Israeli aircraft intercepted all three over Gaza. (Mad dogs are still barking, but leadership of Israel is being gutless - unable or unwilling to make the important decision to remove this cancer from Jewish land!)
The administration of US President Donald Trump has formally notified the United Nations that it wants all UN sanctions on Iran restored, claiming significant Iranian violations of the 2015 nuclear deal.
Pompeo lashed out at the Europeans (and Russia), accusing them of privately agreeing with the US concerns but lacking the courage to say so publicly. "Instead they chose to side with ayatollahs," he said. "Their actions endanger the people of Iraq, of Yemen, of Lebanon, of Syria and indeed their own citizens as well."
Israel is currently in talks with the Sudanese government in a bid to repatriate Sudanese nationals illegally residing in Israel. There are roughly 31,000 infiltrators currently living in Israel, the vast majority of them illegal immigrants from African who entered Israel via the Sinai Peninsula in the mid-to-late 2000s and early 2010s - close to 7,000, are Sudanese nationals, with the vast majority (71%) being Eritrean nationals. At the same time, Sudan has fired the foreign ministry s spokesman following comments in which he said the African country looked forward to making a peace deal with Israel. ( Another fake friendship in making!)
A newly developed saliva test to diagnose COVID-19 correctly identifies evidence of the SARS-CoV-2 novel coronavirus in the human body within a second, 96 percent of the time, and also diagnoses a variety of other viruses, according to Israel s biggest hospital, Sheba Medical centre. The device used to process the samples costs about $200, and each individual test costs about 25 cents.
Quote of the Week:
"During a week when everyone has been talking jubilantly about peace for peace it is not at all clear to me which world we are talking about. In our city, there is a war; there are missiles and a lack of basic security for our residents. Prime minister and minister of defense: you need to wake up. The residents of Sderot and the Gaza envelope are running to shelters from incoming missiles. Our children live in a routine that is a constant emergency even while Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza walk around freely courtesy of the government of Israel!" - Alon Davidi, mayor of Sderot.

The outright refusal by the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO)'s representatives, the Palestinian Authority (PA), to negotiate with Israel on President Trump s Vision for Peace has seen Trump sideline the PLO by brokering a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)...
Significantly no mention is made of creating an independent Palestinian Arab state between Israel and Jordan...
Trump s Vision offered the PLO Gaza and possibly 70% of Judea and Samaria for a second Arab State in former Palestine - in addition to Jordan.
Abbas who has been demanding 100% for the last 25 years made his displeasure known in terms that must not have endeared him to Trump:
I say to Trump and Netanyahu: Jerusalem is not for sale; all our rights are not for sale and are not for bargain. And your deal, the conspiracy, will not pass & We say a thousand no s to the deal of the century, (and made himself irrelevant!)
The UN and European Union s insistence that the two-state solution was the only solution that could end the Jewish-Arab conflict has been debunked as Israel and the UAE begin the path to peaceful co-existence...
Israel s planned application of sovereignty in the 30% of Judea and Samaria designated in Trump s plan has been placed on hold...
As a result of this diplomatic breakthrough, and at the request of President Trump with the support of the United Arab Emirates, Israel will suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world..."
Once again Israel has made a major concession in pursuing peace by suspending its extension of sovereignty into the Jewish People s biblical heartland specifically designated for reconstitution of the Jewish National Home by the Mandate and preserved until today by article 80 of the United Nations Charter...
