The Secular Messiah Speaks
Some time ago I wrote about the political worldview of the Torah observant-right community in Israel (and to a large extent in the diaspora) of viewing themselves with a "loser mentality". I defined it as accepting their dysfunctional political status as non-leaders or advocates of those who look, dress, and speak like them and hoping to help elect the best secular candidate that they could do business with. Well, until he sold out every principle he held out to people (even faster than I had predicted I must say), Avigdor Lieberman was the next messianic hopeful in a long list of disappointments (see, Barak, Bibi, Sharon, etc). Of course the common thread running through all this is a lack of faith-based leadership, but the dysfunctional leadership of the Torah-observant right just keeps hacking away at this over and over again. How did Einstein define stupidity? Doing he same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?
Anyway, Mr. "I can deal with the Iranian threat" Lieberman has a brand new strategy. He wants Israel to join NATO and the EU. I have to say he does have a point. After all the EU is funding terrorism, I mean the PA, and so is Israel. See? We have a lot in common. He has no doubt that this joining would still leave Israel 100% choice in its action against terrorism. He's right again. After all, 100% of nil is still nothing. Yup, let's have a round of applause for the next secular savior.
Blogging With Bibi
Speaking of secular saviors, you know that Manhigut Yehudit must be doing something right when Bibi launches his blog right after ours. Since there is only a Hebrew version cluttering the web, we give thanks to the Jerusalem Post for providing translation of his latest ditherings. Writing about stopping Iran, Bibi drags out the latest recycled campaign speeches about PR efforts abroad as well protecting the homefront at all costs (without actually telling us how he will do that or how much land he will give back first before defining that homefront). Weak leadership Bibi? Is that how you see the current government? Well, you should know. After all, you got wedgied by Bill Clinton more times than we can count. Stick to the gift that Gd gave you, ie, hasbara. Let the faith-based lead and you translate for the empty suits and talking heads on CNN, Skynews, etc. etc.
Kofi-itis At The UN
Why I thought anything would change when the Cloud Monkey (Hebrew to English translation of Kofi Anan) left is beyond me. Proving that the UN is indeed a universal constant, new UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon proved he had not one original thought on the Middle East when he presented as problem number one, tada, the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Solve that he says and everything else will just melt away like cotton candy or is that M&M's? Sigh, another talking head/empty suit who needs to deal with the Jewish problem. And Israel is still in the UN because...?????

abt netanyahu he is soo talented i actually think ure right he is a amazing person but he needs to be dominated and told what his job is and given respect and he should be approached respectfully from a point of superiority and he would be a good person to make clear certian things on their level but it must be strong to him we appreciate his abilities and he isnt such a backstabber like other israeli people in power he actually was made to lead and it should be acknowledged
