The Shamrak Report: The IDF still has a Long Haul Ahead and more..

Last Tuesday, Israel allegedly prevented an Iranian missile attack on its north! At least 15 people were killed in the night-time strike at Kisweh, of whom eight were Iranians. Israel will never agree to the transfer of “game-changing” weaponry to Syria for the use of Hezbollah or the IRGC - neither long-range Fateh-110 missiles, nor attack drones.
On Wednesday, the IDF attacked dozens of military targets belonging to the Iranian Qods Force in Syrian in retaliation to the rocket attack by the Iranian Qods Force towards IDF posts on the Golan Heights. The Israel Air Force also attacked Syrian air defense batteries, which fired despite an Israeli warning not to do so. Russian military sources report that 28 warplanes took part in the massive Israel attack and fired 60 rockets.
The air strike on Al Kiswa, south of Damascus hit an Iranian command center for southern Syria headed by Maj. Gen. Hossein Hamadani. It destroyed a consignment of Fateh 313 missiles. The delivery of this missile means that Iran is upgrading the weaponry being shipped to Syria. Fateh 313 is a short-range ballistic surface missile, whose development by Iran’s armaments industry, extended the range of the Fateh 110 to 500km and far improved its accuracy.
Iran did not inform Syria ahead of attack on Israel. Assad regime reportedly angered by Iran's decision to use its territory to launch missiles at Israel.
The IDF also reported that Russian commanders in Syria were advised of the coming IDF counter-attack against Iran’s military centers in general terms. Iranian government and military leaders are determined to absorb Israel’s offensive - and keep going. Therefore, the IDF still has a long haul ahead...
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was President Vladimir Putin’s guest of honour at the Victory March. Israeli national anthem played in Moscow as Netanyahu attended WW2 Victory Parade in the Russian capital as Putin's honoured guest; 'I salute the heroism of hundreds of thousands of Jews who fought in the ranks of the Red Army,' prime minister said. Netanyahu and Putin attended a wreath-laying ceremony for the Unknown Soldier at the memorial for Red Army soldiers. After spending 10 hours in the company of President Vladimir Putin in Moscow as his guest of honour, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said he believes that Israel’s freedom to operate in Syria in its defense is not in jeopardy.
Next year in Yerushalayim!
Capital of reunited Jewish state, Eretz-Israel.
Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
Christian missionary groups spend hundreds of million annually just on targeting Jews for conversion! Government of Israel does nothing to stop this spiritual genocide of Jewish people, even inside of the Jewish state - existing laws are not enforced!
Just a Thought: It looks like the attack on Iranian positions in Syria by Israel increased popularity of Israel contender at Eurovision! That is how we must fight rise of Anti-Semitism!
PA blasts Hungary, Romania and Czechs for blocking EU censure of US embassy move. The draft resolution stated that Jerusalem should be the capital of two states — Israel and Palestine; that the status of Jerusalem should only be resolved as part of peace negotiations; and that EU nations will not follow the US in moving their missions to the holy city.(Israel has been seeing the 'peacefulness' of the non-existing negotiations!)
Withdrawal from 2015 accord allows the US to impose harsher sanctions on Tehran, also sends a strong message to North Korea. Despite what the deal’s opponents said, the United States was able to continue to sanction Iran for non-nuclear activities - on Iran’s missile program and on its proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah.
The White House said that Trump signed the Justice for Uncompensated Survivors Today - or JUST - Act. It requires the State Department to report to Congress on what steps dozens of countries in Europe have taken to compensate Holocaust survivors or their heirs for assets seized under Nazi German and Communist rule. (History of Jewish people full of examples that prove that anti-Semites love to confiscate Jewish wealth and properties - not just in Poland - no wonder they are angry!)
UN Disengagement Observer Force Evacuating Golan Heights. UNDOF was established by UN Security Council Resolution 305 on May 31 1974, to implement Resolution 338, calling for an immediate cease-fire and disengagement between Israeli and Syrian. (The ‘Useless Nothing’ has proven its uselessness again!)
Riyadh, UAE and Bahrain, staunch rivals of Islamic Republic, join Israel in offering support for US decision to re-impose sanctions. Saudi Arabia accused Iran of “taking advantage of the revenue generated by the lifting of the sanctions to destabilize the region.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has lobbied against the deal, said he offered his full support for Trump’s “bold move.”
The leaders of Cyprus, Israel, and Greece agreed to push ahead with an envisioned pipeline that will supply east Mediterranean gas to Europe as the continent seeks to diversify its energy supply. The pipeline will have the capacity to carry up to 20 billion cubic meters (706 billion cubic feet) of gas yearly. Once frosty, Israel’s ties with Greece and Cyprus have markedly improved in recent years.
The Knesset approved in its first reading a bill proposal to deduct the funds the Palestinian Authority pays terrorists and their families from the tax money Israel collects on behalf of the PA. The Palestinian Authority pays over NIS 1 billion a year to terrorists and their families. (Step in the right direction. What about compensation Israel for terror-related expenses? Just a few days ago, they destroyed a border crossing with Gaza - let them pay for it!)
The American Center for Law and Justice has revealed it has uncovered documents showing the Obama State Department even misled Congress about US tax money being used to try to manipulate the results of an election in Israel. Grants from the Obama State Department were issued to international organizations to actively campaign against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the 2015 election. (There are many 'delusional' Jews, supporters of Hilary Clinton, who are still missed Obama. TIME to WAKE UP!)
On the Israeli side of the border, in the area of Nahal Oz, Miflasim, and Be’eri, near the Gaza Strip border fires are the outcome of sinister arson attacks on civilian agricultural land using balloons wrapped in foil and carrying Molotov cocktails.(Do we have to wait for loss of Jewish lives to take a proper action against terror infested Gaza and remove enemy population to Sinai?)
A report from the Anti-Defamation League found that there were roughly 4.2 million anti-Semitic tweets in 2017 shared by more than 3 million users on the social-media platform.
Ahead of a Knesset vote on a measure to cut some payments to the PA until it stops paying stipends to terrorists and their families, the Defense Ministry released figures Sundayalleging that some terrorists who killed Israelis will be paid more than NIS 10 million ($2.78 million) each throughout their lifetimes by the Palestinian Authority.
Israeli Energy Minister and Cabinet member Yuval Steinitz said that, "If Syrian President Bashar Assad continues allowing the Iranians to operate out of Syria, it would be the end of him, the end of his regime." It was reported Sundaythat Iran may soon execute the retaliatory attack that it vowed to carry out in the wake of the airstrike on the T-4 Airbase near Homs.
Hamas has in recent months repeatedly expressed willingness through several channels to enter into talks with Israel over a long-term ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Hamas wants the agreement to include Israel significantly easing the blockade over Gaza, approving large-scale infrastructure projects. (Hamas needs to build new tunnels and send terrorists to Israel!)
QUOTE of the WEEK:
“We are facing a new reality where Iran is attacking Israel directly and trying to harm Israel’s sovereignty and territories... We have hit almost the entire Iranian infrastructure in Syria. They must remember - if it rains here (in Israel), there’ll be a flood over there.” - Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman

Democracy is based on checks and balances between three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial. For many years, however, the delicate balance between the legislative and judicial branches of Israel’s democracy has been disrupted...
Israel’s Supreme Court has assigned itself powers that its counterparts in other democracies never dreamed of, such as:
The members of the Supreme Court have the power to veto nominees to the Court itself, making them a self-appointed elite, rather than an appointed body that represents the range of views and backgrounds that make up Israeli society.
The Supreme Court unilaterally granted universal standing before the Court, meaning that there is no issue, and no individual or group, that is beyond the Court’s jurisdiction.
Whereas supreme courts in other democratic countries are bound by legal precedent and principles, the Israeli Supreme Court allows decisions to be based upon amorphous, subjective concepts such as “foundational principles,” which have never been clearly defined or delimited; “the opinion of the enlightened public,” a wildly subjective category that opens the door to politicization; and “instrumental interpretation,” essentially drawing the bullseye around the arrow, as it were.
The Supreme Court unilaterally declared a controversial “Basic Law” - passed in the dead of night in May 1992 by a margin of only 9 votes (32 MKs voted in favour, while 23 opposed) - to be the equivalent of a constitution. Ever since, the Court has used this pseudo-constitution as the justification for striking down laws passed by much larger Knesset majorities (some examples: The Bi-Annual National Budget Law, the Anti-BDS Law’s main section, the Tal Law for Conscription of Yeshiva Students, the Tax on 3rd Apartments, and many more).
Recently, the Supreme Court struck down the Illegal Infiltration Law, causing a public furore and thrusting the more basic question of the Supreme Court’s power into the spotlight. The public began to voice its rising frustration and many politicians now feel that the time has come to restore the balance between the branches of government through the legislation of an Override Clause that, in our view, would allow the public to regain its voice...
The Override Clause is a classic case of “Power to the People”: Either our democratically-elected representatives or the Supreme Court - a self-elected body that has granted itself powers unequalled in American, British, or other democracies - are in charge of national public policy. This is not a question of left-wing versus right-wing. This is not some new, radical power grab. The Override Clause will restore the balance between the branches of our government and protect our democracy.
