Since the Expulsion from Gush Katif, we are in this bad movie, and we already know how it will end. Another round of fighting, tens more IDF soldiers dead, temporary quiet (known as a “Hudna”) and then back to the same cycle again.
In other words, we are paying with the blood of our sons in order not to be in Gaza. That is the real equation. We are not paying a price to be there – we are paying not to be there. The situation when we were there was paradise compared to now. That is the truth.
Over the entire political spectrum, there is not one minister or MK who has said: We erred when we left Gaza. It is better to go back in than to remain hostage to the Hamas, to watch Israel’s south go up in flames and to sacrifice tens of our sons every few years.
Not one.
