The Shamrak Report

Expanding the Abraham Accords
Minister of Regional Cooperation Esawi Frej (Meretz) said that Qatar, Tunisia, Oman and Malaysia may join the Abraham Accords. (This is wishful-thinking without any real prospect. At the moment, Morocco and Sudan are the best candidates to join the Abraham Accords.)

- Qatar provides financial assistance to Gaza with Israel's blessing, and the Qatari Foreign Minister said in January that his country will not recognize Israel or normalize relations with the Jewish state unless a Palestinian state is established with Jerusalem as its capital.

- Tunisia reiterated last December that it is not interested in establishing diplomatic relations with Israel and its position will not be affected by any international changes.

- Israel also does not have ties with Malaysia, where former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has a lengthy history of statements against Israel and Jewish people.

Abraham Accords - Real Progress
- Direct flight from Saudi Arabia, 737 VIP (A6-AIN) aircraft owned by the Emirati Royal Jet airline, to land at Ben-Gurion Airport.

- Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed al-Alawi was hosted by IAF Commander Maj.-Gen. Amikam Norkin as part of the Blue Flag drill.

- Israel and the UAE talk about a Free Trade Agreement

Food for Thought
by Steven Shamrak
After many months of speculations and intimidation of Israel, the US State Department has stated the obvious - Israel, as any sovereign country, has the right of approval of any foreign country's activities on its land. The US has never been a true friend of Israel. It has a long history of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel politics, from Teddy Roosevelt to Bill Clinton, to Obama and now Biden.

Europeans Concerned about Iran's Nuclear Program
The leaders of Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the United States expressed their "grave and growing concern" about Iran's nuclear program after a meeting on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Rome. "Iran has no credible civilian need for either measure, but both are important to nuclear weapons programs," they stated. ("Alarmed" would be a better word. But they are still talking about Iran coming back to the 2015 nuclear deal.)

National Home Front Drill

Israeli's military and civilian authorities launched a large-scale war drill on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021 to prepare for a pro-Iranian precision rocket blitz from Lebanon targeting civilians and infrastructure. The drill, which will end on Thursday, covers multiple threats requiring evacuations of complete frontline communities and dispersing local Arab disturbances in mixed cities . The Air Force is meanwhile practicing operations for hitting 3,000 Hezbollah targets across Lebanon in a single day in response to direct Iranian or Iran-supported missile attacks by Hezbollah and imported Iraqi-Shiite militias.

Arabs Leaving Lebanon
The United Arab Emirates has decided to withdraw its diplomats from Lebanon and ban its citizens from visiting the country. Saudi Arabia expelled Lebanon's envoy and banned all Lebanese imports on Friday, and Bahrain and Kuwait followed suit, giving the top Lebanese diplomats there 48 hours to exit. ( They have enough with the Hezbollah take-over of Lebanon, and are leaving before war is unleashed in the region.)

'Alliance' between Israel and Russia in Syria
At the same time Israel allegedly attacked an Iranian weapons storage facility near Damascus on Saturday, Russian fighter jets struck Syrian opposition militants near the city of Aleppo. With Moscow working to bolster Assad's regime and stop Damascus' diplomatic isolation - ensuring Russian presence in the region - it sees Israel's efforts to thwart Iran's entrenchment in the area as a benefit to its cause.

Soft Response to PA's Debt
Israel has informed the Palestinian Authority that in a week it would start initiating power outages to various areas. The planned blackouts will continue until the PA settles its debt to the Israeli Electric Company and the Arab eastern Jerusalem electric company roughly half a billion shekels altogether ($156 million). (Why not cut it completely for a day or two, or take payment from tax Israel is collecting for the PA? The PA is also not paying for water and medical services that Israel provides.)

PA Facing Financial Collapse as Donations Dry up
The Palestinian Authority is experiencing the worst fiscal difficulties it has ever had since its establishment more than a quarter-century ago. EU, the Gulf states and U.S. have all cut aid to the PA. Of the $100 million that the Arab League member countries had committed to the PA as part of a financial security net, less than $2 million has been forthcoming. (No doubt, the 'Ugly Nazi' will come to the rescue.)

Say NO to US Consulate in Jerusalem
The US State Department has confirmed it cannot open a consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem without Israel s authorization. Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee) this week proposed a bill to ensure that the only US diplomatic entity in Jerusalem would be the US Embassy. President Biden's proposal to open a second US mission in Jerusalem would begin to reverse the recognition of Jerusalem, and it would divide Israel's eternal and undivided capital city, Hagerty said.

Hamas Sentences Six to Death. No International Outcry
Hamas announced Thursday it had sentenced six Palestinian "informants" to death for collaborating with Israel. Palestinian law requires approval from the Palestinian president for the death penalty, but Hamas in Gaza has carried out a number of executions without permission from Mahmoud Abbas. (Where are those bleeding-heart Jew-hating liberals? Why don't they protest?)

Israel Prepares for Plan-B
Israel prepares for plan B after the latest Iranian nuclear violations. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna announced that the monitoring of Iran s nuclear program is no longer intact . During his recent visit to Washington, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid warned his American counterpart Antony Blinken that Israel firmly believes that Iran is now very close to the moment it will become a nuclear threshold state. The Israeli government has earmarked $5 billion for preparations connected to plan B and has asked the Pentagon to speed up the delivery of four KC-46 refueling aircraft that are used for long-distance missions of Israel's F-16, F-15, and F-35 warplanes. The Israeli air force (IAF) has now asked the Pentagon for the immediate delivery of at least two KC-46 tankers.

Biden Mistaken on 'Settlements'

Former US Special envoy Greenblatt says 'settlements' are not the reason there is no peace after Biden administration condemns construction approval. "Mistake on Biden Administration's part. So-called "settlements"-really neighborhoods/towns/cities-aren't the reason there's no peace. US should: stop using this as an excuse for why there's no peace; stop comparing Israel and PA actions - they're not the same. Also nothing about Hamas (why not)?" (Israel can't make peace with terrorists who want to destroy the Jewish state.)

Israeli Approved Construction of Homes after US Condemnation
An Israeli committee approved building of 2,800 new homes in Judea and Samaria. Approval of the new construction is bound to raise friction with the United States and Europe, anger the Palestinians and test Israel s fragile governing coalition. ( Jew-haters are always angry at Israel, with or without construction of Jewish homes in Eretz-Israel.)

Quote of the Week:
"We all wanted a right-wing (Zionist) government to be formed, but the only way it could have happened was for Benjamin Netanyahu to move aside. He chose not to do so and we found ourselves in a difficult governmental situation, but we will measure it in terms of the settlements by its actions and not by speech." - David Elhayani , Yesha Council chairman.

Dustbin of Antisemitism of UNHRC
by Elad Benari

Ambassador Gilad Erdan denounced UNHRC, UN Human Rights Council, as an anti-Israel dustbin of antisemitism, and that is exactly how Israel shall treat it.

A special session was held on Friday in the United Nations General Assembly in which the President of the Human Rights Council presented its annual report to all UN member states.

As expected, extensive sections of the report condemned and criticized Israel, including the establishment of a biased Commission of Inquiry against Israel following Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021, which completely ignored Hamas and its attacks on Israeli citizens.

"The voices of the victims, of the terrible crimes against humanity that we have already seen in the first decades of this century, cannot be heard over the obsession of the so-called Human Rights Council with targeting Israel," said Israel s Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan.

"Since the establishment of the council 15 years ago, it has decided to blame and condemn Israel, not 10 times like Iran, or 35 times like Syria. No, the Human Rights Council has attacked Israel with 95 resolutions. Compared to 142 against all other countries combined."

"Just as that 1975 resolution, equating Zionism with racism, was itself a gross form of anti-Jewish racism, which has no place in this international body, so to, the Human Rights Council s obsessive anti-Israel bias. Its only place is in the dustbin of antisemitism, and that is exactly how we shall treat it.
