News reports this past week said that there is a sharp decline in the public status of the IDF and in the motivation of the soldiers to be career military officers. Is anybody surprised?

The IDF’s ethical code is a perfect fit for Toyota, or any other company. If an army lacks a national goal, it becomes a police force; the UN in green uniform.

Who wants to serve in an army from whose lexicon the word ‘victory’ has been erased?
