Irrational Behavior Stems from Identity Crisis

by Moshe Feiglin

What do the irrational court decision to acquit the Arab terrorist of attempted murder because the knife he was trying to thrust into a woman’s back broke, and the wild shooting on the roads perpetrated by the Bedouins in the Negev have in common?

Both phenomena stem from the fact that Israel’s legal and political leadership have lost their sense of justice.

We have convinced both the terrorist and the Bedouins that this is their land – not ours.

The military judge who released the terrorist did so because of his own guilt feelings.

The government does not enforce its sovereignty in the Negev and Galilee because it does not feel that justice is on its side.

In order to return to our sense of justice, we need to reconnect to our own identity. We need Zehut.
