“The military brass outcry over the Looker Report, charged with finding ways to make the IDF more efficient, leaves no doubt as to the importance of the Report,” said Moshe Feiglin. “While I do not agree with all the Report’s conclusions,” Feiglin added, “the Looker Report is a step in the right direction and that is important:
Fewer soldiers
Fewer command-centers
More training
More sophisticated weapons
More professionalism
Ultimately, Israel will have a professional, volunteer army, just as we had originally proposed,” Feiglin concluded.
