Moshe Feiglin in Ma'aleh Rechavam
Moshe Feiglin visited with the residents of Ma'aleh Rechavam this Monday. 9 homes in Ma'aleh Rehavam were razed by the government two weeks ago.
The following is from Israel Danziger, head of Mishmeret Yesha, on the demolition of the homes at Maaleh Rechavam and the participation of MK Moshe Feiglin in decrying these actions:
We are now before Pesach and traditionally the nation of the Jews has collected monies for Kimche DePische (literally "flour for Passover") ie. monies to assist those who are in need for the holiday.
There are two families, the Spiro and Nakash families, whose homes were destroyed, who are blessed with children, and have nowhere to live.
The Gush Etzion Municipality and its private fund, The Gush Etzion Foundation, refuses to fund any sort of rehabilitation to Ma'aleh Rechavam, not even the 40,000 shekels needed for materials (we will supply the labor) to repair two totally dilapidated caravans so that they are habitable.
This minimal request is absolutely appropriate at these times.
Monday, after a stormy morning concluding with the forcible removal, arrest, and release of MK Moshe Feiglin after his monthly visit to Har Habayit, Moshe kept his promised word and drove out to Ma'aleh Rechavam to see firsthand what has been done.
His immediate grasp of the deep sense of betrayal and deep appreciation of the enormous effort invested by simple Jews to build this small outlying community in the Judean desert was extremely uplifting. Although his complete morning was overtaken by events and he was late to all his appointments, Moshe took the time to answer questions and listen to the sequence of events over the last two years that led to this recent destruction.
Most importantly, Moshe concluded the visit with several operational suggestions to deflect the toxic forces arrayed against Ma'aleh Rechavam. He offered, "Make me your father; let all the powers know I am working with you; take advantage of my office and aides; constantly update me and my office".
He stressed the importance and offered his help to discover and expose all those who had planned, ordered and implemented this atrocity.
All those who have supported Moshe Feiglin, Manhigut Yehudit and Zu Artzenu over the years can be proud of who he is and what he stands for.
