The Shamrak Report: US-Israel Defense Pact is not Needed and more...

by Judah Ari Gross
In recent months, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has raised the prospect of a defense treaty between Jerusalem and Washington on several occasions.
A former US secretary of defense and an ex-IDF chief of staff on Monday rejected a proposed America-Israeli mutual defense pact, saying such a measure was unnecessary.
“This is not necessary, not when Israel is at its peak military capability, compared to its enemies. This is not something that it is correct to advance now..," said former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot.
The former IDF chief of staff, whose tenure ended in 2019, noted that two of the IDF’s most impressive military feats - the 1981 Operation Opera that destroyed an Iraqi nuclear reactor and the 2007 Operation Orchard that destroyed a Syrian nuclear reactor - would likely never have occurred, had Israel been in a mutual defense pact with the United States at the time.
The general consensus among Israeli defense officials is that a true mutual defense pact, similar to the ones the US has with other countries, could potentially bind Israel’s hands and prevent it from carrying out military actions it believes to be necessary for the Jewish state’s security.
However, Eisenkot said such a defense treaty could become necessary if Iran or other countries in the region acquired a nuclear bomb.
Former US secretary of defense Ash Carter, who was also taking part in the event, agreed that there was no need for a defense pact between the US and Israel, as both countries already see eye-to-eye.
“I think we — the US and Israel - can have a clear vision of our interests and know that while these interests are not identical, they overlap substantially. That is better than any treaty: that understanding that we need each other,” said Carter...

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak
After 70 years of independence, having means to annihilate enemies and end 'perpetual' war and 'quiet' rocket attacks, almost nothing is done! In the USSR people were enduring the hardship of life with the saying "as long there is no war", as the Communist party kept reminding them of horrors of WW2! In Israel, governments, both Left and Right of the politics, do not want to end the war because it takes attention from how useless and corrupt they are. Israel needs Maccabees!
The United Nations General Assembly has adopted eight resolutions condemning the State of Israel on Friday. Israel is the only country to face this treatment today. Other countries like Venezuela and North Korea will walk away with zero repercussions for their egregious abuses of human rights. “Last month, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group assaulted Israeli civilians with a barrage of 400 rockets - while the UN’s General Assembly and Human Rights Council stayed silent. The world body now adds insult to injury by adopting eight lopsided condemnations, whose only purpose is to demonize the Jewish state,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch.
Israel Internal Legal War
1. Likud Justice Minister Amir Ohana sent letter to the offices of the State Prosecutor and the Attorney General, ordering them to stop issuing messages which are signed by the Justice Ministry, which gives the impression that he, Ohana, has endorsed them.
2. Over half, 56%, of Israelis are in favour of establishing an independent inquiry committee to investigate the alleged abuses of the Netanyahu investigations, including illegal leaks and witness coercion. Israelis believe that the judiciary operated too freely, with 68% of the respondents supporting the establishment of an independent audit mechanism for the judiciary.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes $500 million in security assistance to Israel. The U.S. assistance authorizes cooperation with Israel on counter-tunnel and counter-aerial capabilities, and $500 million for developing and procuring the Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Arrow weapon systems. (Israel is not just the best ally the US has in ME, but also is the source of advanced technological developmentAnd the “aid” has to be spent in the US, hurting Israeli companies.)
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan issued an order banning the Palestinian Authority's Governor of Jerusalem Adnan Gheith from operating in Jerusalem. This is the first time such an order has been issued against Gheith on a personal level, banning him from conducting activities for or funded by the PA.  Former orders placed restrictions or bans on specific events.
President Trump signed an executive order to virtually define Judaism as a race or national origin, not just a religion, under the Civil Rights Act.  The order is meant to address anti-Jewish bias in universities. It also expands acts of anti-Semitism to include anti-Israel statements. Trump's signature comes amid several anti-Semitic attacks in America. (Jewish religious and political leaders have never been brave enough, especially during the last 30 years, to face the truth and to make this definitionThrough the history, Jews always were identified and treated not just as a religion, but as a nationality or ethnic groupIt was also the case in Nazi Germany and even in socialist Soviet Union!)
Israeli students fall below OECD average overall in reading, math and science, putting Israel 37th out of 77 countries! The findings of the 2018 Program for International Student Assessment tests (PISA) that were released this week showed a significant gap between Hebrew (Jews) and Arabic (Arabs) speakers in Israel for all three of the educational skills assessed - reading, mathematics and science - and revealed that the divide was even bigger than found in the last such test in 2015. (A similar trend could be observed in the Israel national average IQ level. It is not the fault of Jews.)
The US Senate unanimously passed a resolution that recognizes as genocide the killing of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923. The Ottoman Empire was centered in present-day Turkey(Enough with Stupidity of not 'Offending' Fake Islamic FriendsThe  indifference of the world to genocide of Armenians was viewed by Hitler as a 'green light' to commit the Holocaust.)
The Palestinian Authority is continuing with its propaganda mission to deny Jewish links to the land of Israel. Riyad al-Aileh, a Palestinian political science lecturer from Al-Azhar University stated "If we look at the history, we will see that they were not in Palestine in the past, but rather only as invaders less than 70 years ago. For these 70 years they have been invaders..." (Where did he get his degree? He must have been talking about fake PalestiniansThey say, "the best defence is offence". In fear of finding/proving Jewish history and historic land ownership, an independent archaeological research is forbidden in most Arab/Muslim countries around Israel!)
Quote of the Week:
“The miracle of Hanukkah is the miracle of Israel. The descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have endured unthinkable persecution and oppression. But no force has ever crushed your spirit, and no evil has ever extinguished your faith.  That is why the Jewish people shine as a light to all nations. And right now, I’m thinking about what’s going on and the love that’s all over Israel and all about Jerusalem.” - US President Donald Trump, at Hanukkah Party in the White House.
Concern for the Lost Jews!
by Steven Shamrak
I can understand and even find justifications, from the Muslim point of view, why Arabs do not want Jews to reclaim their land, Eretz-Israel. After all, Arabs do not want any ‘infidels’, including Christians, in the neighbourhood. Some religious orders motivated anti-Semites, Christians and Muslims, also do not want to be proven wrong by the return of Jews to the Holy Land and fulfilment of Jewish prophecy, which makes their theological claims to inheritance of Jewish tradition absolute!
At the same time, there will always be the brainless Anti-Semitic idiots who will need a scapegoat to blame, instead of taking the responsibility, for their own stupidity and personal inabilities.
But I shall never be able to fully understand and excuse Jews, who are collaborating with and assisting our enemies to undermine the future of Jewish people – existence of Israel. Though, Although, I do understand the distorted psychology behind their self-destructive attitude and behaviour, induced by PTST and the Stockholm Syndrome after prolonged exposure to discrimination, abuse and violence.
Most of them are aware that there is something wrong with their self-hating attitude toward their own country, but they are still unwilling or unable to address this self-destructive and self-hating behaviour and revise their psychologically induced political standing. With the progress made in the field of modern phycology they do not have an excuse for this shameful conduct any more. They really need to start soul searching and addressing this problem seriously!
