The Shamrak Report: Palestinians Prefer Sovereignty (DUH!)

by Josh Plank

There may be a huge gap between the opinions of Palestinian Authority (PA) officials and PA residents concerning Israel s sovereignty plans.

Several Arab residents of Judea and Samaria voiced their opinions about Israel applying sovereignty over portions of the territories. Some were interviewed openly, while other interviews were documented with hidden camera glasses.

It is a million times better for Israel to be responsible for the entire territory. We re ready to live under Israel s military boots rather than under the head of Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas), one person said.

What has the PA done for us? one businessman asked. I don t want a state. I want money. Money is preferable to a state. The entire Palestinian people want this. What does it want? It doesn t want the PA. The PA robbed us and destroyed us.

In Israel there s law and order. Life is good, said a PA policeman, adding that in the PA all the money goes to Abu Mazen, to the PA, to those leaders. I prefer Israeli sovereignty, a hundred percent, he said.

When the United States moved the embassy to Jerusalem, the PA promised a wave of violence, but the public mainly chose not to take to the streets. On the issue of annexation, the gap between PA leadership and the people may be even wider.

Food for Thought. by Steven Shamrak

If Racism is to become a criminal offence, punishable by a prison term, so should Anti-Semitism! Jews have been suffering from hate and discrimination for much longer than blacks from Christians, Muslims, white and blacks too! Somehow, all of them think that by denigrating Jews they raise themself up. It does not work this way! Learning from Jews is - how to contribute to the better future of humanity!

Anti-Semitic Church still Hates!

The World Council of Churches is asking European diplomats to punish Israel with sanctions if it annexes West Bank lands. The call to punish Israel came last month in a letter to EU foreign ministers from the Geneva headquarters of the council, an umbrella body established in 1948 that now has 350 member churches with about 500,000 followers among them. The Catholic Church is not a member. (Hate of Jews inspires 'love' for haters of Christians!)

New Election after Sovereignty?

The Likud, headed by Netanyahu, would win 41 seats, five more than the party won this year if new elections were held today. This would be the best performance for the party since 1981. Defense Minister Benny Gantz, who also serves as alternate prime minister, would win just 13 seats at the helm of his Blue and White party. This means that Right-wing (pro-Zionist block) rises to 64 seats in latest poll, moving to a 15-seat lead over the left-Arab bloc.

Arabs Kill Each Other Nobody Cares!

The homicide rate in the Arab-Israeli community in Israel has increased by 60% from 2016 to 2019. Homicides in Arab society are particularly high. In 2018, the murder rate was more than five times the rate in the Palestinian Authority and eight times the rate among Jewish Israelis.

Trump OKs Sanctioning ICC staff

President Donald Trump authorized economic and travel sanctions against court workers investigating American troops and intelligence officials and those of allied nations, including Israel, for possible war crimes in Afghanistan and elsewhere. The order would block the financial assets of court employees and bar them and their immediate relatives from entering the United States. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the court of fabricating outlandish charges against Israel and praised the US for standing up for what he called truth and justice.

Is Supreme Court Enemy of Israel?

Israel s Supreme Court overwhelmingly rejected a 2017 law that would have allowed for the retroactive legalization of thousands of Jewish homes built in Judea and Samaria. The timing coming as it does on the eve of annexation and the legal reasoning behind it are questionable. The PA landowners will now be able to move ahead with lawsuits to recover privately owned property on which nearly 4,000 Jewish homes had been built! (It is a rhetorical question! We all know the answer! The Supreme Court is creating a legal nightmare again! Most Arabs who live in Judea and Samaria do not have proper ownership documentation, as they have never legally owned the Jewish land!)

Mad Dogs are still Barking

PA Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said that If Israel annexes part of the West Bank, the Palestinians will unilaterally declare a state based on the pre-1967 lines. We are pragmatic, he said. We don t want things to reach a point of no return. Annexation means no return in the relationship with Israel. The Palestinian Authority is mulling severe budget cuts to the public sector and minimizing civil services over the possibility of annexation - Palestinian leaders are hoping that these steps will remind Israel that a collapse of the PA would leave it responsible for millions of people. (Since when have terrorists become "pragmatic"Blackmail will not work - it will only help to remove enemy population from the Jewish land faster!)

Germany won t Support Sanctions Against Israel

Germany will not support sanctions over Israel s planned unilateral annexation of parts of Judea and Samaria. Berlin also will not recognize Palestinian independence, despite stressing move would put strain on relations. Germany is set in July to take the presidency of two key institutions, the Council of the European Union for six months, as well as the UN Security Council for a month, meaning, Berlin will head two major international forums just as they will need to respond to Israeli actions.

Quote of the Week:

"If People can be convinced that they are racist then they could also be convinced to become anti-Semitic. As Jews we must not forget the 1930s (in Europe and the USand not make the same mistakes - push back don t be coward." - a FB post

Dear World...

by Rabbi Meir Kahane

It appears that you are hard to please. I understand that you are upset over us, here in Israel. Indeed, it appears that you are quite upset, even angry and outraged? Indeed, every few years you seem to become upset over us.

Today, it is the brutal repression of the Palestinians; yesterday, it was Lebanon; before that it was the bombing of the nuclear reactor in Baghdad and the Yom Kippur War campaign. It appears that Jews who triumph and who, therefore, live, upset you most extraordinarily. Of course, dear world, long before there was an Israel, we, the Jewish people upset you.

We upset a German people who elected a Hitler and we upset an Austrian people who cheered his entry into Vienna and we upset a whole slew of Slavic nations Poles, Slovaks, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Russians, Hungarians, Romanians.

And we go back a long, long way in the history of world upset. We upset the Cossacks of Chmielnicki who massacred tens of thousands of us in 1648-49; we upset the Crusaders who, on their way to liberate the Holy Land, were so upset at Jews that they slaughtered untold numbers of us.

We upset, for centuries, a Roman Catholic Church that did its best to define our relationship through Inquisitions. And we upset the arch-enemy of the Church, Martin Luther, who, in his call to burn the synagogues and the Jews within them, showed an admirable Christian ecumenical spirit.

It is because we became so upset over upsetting you, dear world, that we decided to leave you in a manner of speaking and establish a Jewish State. The reasoning was that living in close contact with you, as resident-strangers in the various countries that comprise you, we upset you, irritate you, disturb you. What better notion, then, than to leave you and thus love you and have you love us? And so we decided to come home to the same homeland from which we were driven out 1,900 years earlier by a Roman world that, apparently, we also upset.

Alas, dear world, it appears that you are hard to please. Having left you and your Pogroms and Inquisitions and Crusades and Holocausts, having taken our leave of the general world to live alone in our own little state we continue to upset you.

You are upset that we repress the poor Palestinians. You are deeply angered over the fact that we do not give up the lands of 1967, which are clearly the obstacle to peace in the Middle East. Moscow is upset and Washington is upset. The Arabs are upset and the gentle Egyptian moderates are upset.

Well, dear world, consider the reaction of a normal Jew from Israel. In 1920, 1921 and 1929, there were no territories of 1967 to impede peace between Jews and Arabs. Indeed, there was no Jewish State to upset anybody. Nevertheless, the same oppressed and repressed Palestinians slaughtered hundreds of Jews in Jerusalem, Jaffa, Safed and Hebron. Indeed, 67 Jews were slaughtered one day in Hebron in 1929.

Dear World, why did the Arabs the Palestinians massacre 67 Jews in one day in 1929? Could it have been their anger over Israeli aggression in 1967? And why were 510 Jewish men, women and children slaughtered in Arab riots in 1936-39? Was it because of Arab upset over 1967? And when you, World, proposed a U.N. Partition Plan in 1947 that would have created a Palestinian State alongside a tiny Israel and the Arabs cried and went to war and killed 6,000 Jews was that upset stomach caused by the aggression of 1967? And, by the way, dear world, why did we not hear your cry of upset then?

The poor Palestinians who today kill Jews with explosives and firebombs and stones are part of the same people who when they had all the territories they now demand be given them for their state attempted to drive the Jewish State into the sea. The same twisted faces, the same hate, the same cry of idbah-al-yahud Slaughter the Jews! that we hear and see today, were seen and heard then. The same people, the same dream destroy Israel. What they failed to do yesterday, they dream of today but we should not repress them.

Dear World, you stood by the Holocaust and you stood by in 1948 as seven states launched a war that the Arab League proudly compared to the Mongol massacres. You stood by in 1967 as Nasser, wildly cheered by wild mobs in every Arab capital in the world, vowed to drive the Jews into the sea. And you would stand by tomorrow if Israel were facing extinction. And since we know that the Arabs-Palestinians daily dream of that extinction, we will do everything possible to remain alive in our own land. If that bothers you, dear world, well think of how many times in the past you bothered us. In any event, dear world, if you are bothered by us, here is one Jew in Israel who could not care less.
