“Less than two years after this government was established, it has brought us to a serious financial and security impasse,” said MK Moshe Feiglin on Tuesday after new elections were deemed imminent.
“There is nothing to celebrate over a government that does not finish its term, but it was clear from the day that this coalition – with Lapid and Livni’s parties – was put together, that it would not lead us to the security and prosperity Israel seeks,” Feiglin added.
“This government did not know where it was going, leading us on a treacherous path. Now is the time to define our values and clearly articulate our national goals.
The Likud will ensure its place as the strong, leading, ruling party only if it unites around a clear path to restore the personal and financial security of Israel’s citizens, which are a function of well-defined national goals,” the MK concluded.
